Abstract

Most of us are aware that the Indian gGovernment taxes every highway in India, whether it is a state highway or a national highway, to raise money for maintenance. India typically uses an open system for tolling, where the price is a fixed sum based on the length of the project’'s span, which is often 60 kilometers. If a stretch is shorter than expected, only the actual length-based user fee is collected. Here, we would want to propose a practical method of collecting tolls that accounts for the utilisationutilization of the highway by a particular vehicle to avoid this additional price paid. In this context, usage refers to the actual highway mileage covered by the car. First, a device to detect vehicles entering the roadway will be installed at every entry wedge. Also noted will be its licencelicense plate. The distance between the entry and exit places will be systematically determined if the identical vehicle is discovered at the exit, and the amount can be subtracted as a result. The starting location and ending point are identified using the Neo6M GPS mModule.
