Prevention, Control, and Management of Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD) in Poultry

Abstract
Infectious bursal disease (IBD) (Gumboro disease) has been identified worldwide, and the disease’s socio-economic importance is significant around the world. IBD cause by the RNA virus which is selectively affects the bursa of Fabricius and destroying B-lymphocyte leading to immunosuppression and other concurrent infection results in high mortality. As virus is having high mutation rate make it difficult to control disease in poultry farm. Highly contagious nature of IBD virus causes rapid spread within poultry farm. To control the disease effective vaccination and strict hygienic measures are required. Here author giving emphasis on prevention, control and management strategy of IBD in poultry.
