Abstract

An experiment was conducted to quantify the impacts of selected hybrid head cabbage (Brassica capitata var. L.) varieties on the yield and quality traits. Three hybrid head cabbage varieties; K-500, Landini and Bandung were tested. The experiment was laid out in Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. Head weight, head diameter, marketable yield, total head yield and gross head yield at (P<0.05) were significantly affected by the variety. The highest head weight (1060gm), highest head diameter (13.7cm), the maximum marketable yield (425qtha-1), the maximum total yield (428.2qtha-1) and the highest gross yield (621.2qt/ha) were recorded by the Landini variety.
