Abstract

Abstract
We previously reported phenological changes in the content of several flavonoids in Hypericum pruinatum. In the present successive study, we investigated variation in the content of eight new compounds in different plant parts of the same species through its phenological cycle. Plant materials including greenhouse-grown and wild growing individuals were harvested at different stages of plant phenology and subjected to high performance liquid chromatography analyses after dissected into different plant parts. Chemical contents in whole plants increased with advancing of plant phenology. It was recommended that plant material for pharmaceuticals should be gathered during flower ontogenesis.
